Unit 2: European Exploration
Students collected evidence to support multiple points of view about Christopher Columbus.

We are working in partnerships to learn about different explorers during the Age of Exploration! We are doing this by locating evidence to answer specific research questions about our explorers. We are using our evidence to create resumes about our explorers and to decide if they belong in the hall of fame or shame!
Students in 5-315 working in partnerships and jotting down what they are noticing and thinking/wondering/feeling in select images about the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.
Unit 2 Student Generated Art Projects
Unit 3: Latin America
Students are learning about the Maya, Inca, and Aztec Civilizations! They are researching about these civilizations to help them choose who will they "become" for their civilizations blog! Students are creating sketch notes, webs, and t-charts to help them gather their research.
Students performed how Pizarro conquered the Incas by participating in a Reader's Theater! Students chose their roles, practiced speaking their lines by focusing on volume and expression, and acted out their roles using props and music.
